I know my '85 Toyota 4Runner (M/T) has no clutch cancel switch, although the factory wiring diagram shows one. I think Toyota
added them for the '86 models, so probably somewhere around that time period.
I routinely start in gear on that truck, very handy off-road, stopped on a wickedly steep hill,
