First --- totally ignore "spaceship" you do not need it for now --pull l=
ine from intake manifold off and (I am still driving with mine off.) we wi=
ll adjust it later. It regulates "fuelling" the same as the screw , but =
in response to manifold pressure.
What is a "Banjo fitting "???? ----look at where the fuel enters the pump -=
---that's a BANJO. On you pump the return banjo is the one where the =
small lines from injectors connect and a bigger line goes back to fueltank.
The fuelling screw is a bigger screw than the idle stop and max speed (max =
power) screw. That one simply limits how much you can turn throttle arm when=
you ---put the petal to the metal. The fuelling screws here all need =
a 13mm hex wrench on the locknut. The idle and max throttle stops need 10 m=
m hex wrench. I got about 10 VE Bosch pumps and all use the same nuts. =
"CAUTION" the fuelling screw is a lively little fella on some of these p=
umps , so go slow. Turn it clocwise "screw it in" one half of a turn at t=
he time between testing.Keep going to you get lots of smoke when you goose =
it. And let us know one way or the other. do not turn more than 5 turns wit=
hout asking for more info.
-----mean while I shall check a pump here for you to see how many turns ar=
e available.
   Hagar.
