Loren so you are not at Pacific great. And Mark Shepherd it would be fa=
irer to compare say ESSO AD-100 and Veggie oil in injection pump. Some gear =
systems use Veggie oils now --- to protect waterways. (Biodegradable fast a=
nd not toxic to life).
70 + years of oil-changes gave me a lot of time to compare. And my advice =
for diesels is to not fall for the add nonsense about synthetics. The lube i=
s fine but very expensive and a bad choice for us not so well heeled.Reason=
ing is this : normal oil does not wear out or deteriorate if you stay with =
short regular changing.I do filter and oil every 100hours on hourmeter mach=
ines and the rabbits by blotter test (there is Marks LOO paper again)and m=
ileage. Change to get rid of crud. If oils is "BLACK as TOBYS ass" on blot=
ter test I change no matter the miles. Another very important reason for ch=
anging often , is the fact that some older Rabbits wind up with a lot of di=
esel in the oil-sump.Rid by draining. Also on this reasoning drain antifree=
ze every year to rid of crud.Older Rabbits are prone to exhaust gas seeping=
in to cooling system. Have fun --I sure have with those little bunny's.=
                       Hagar.
