[Vwdiesel] clunk when accelerating

Sure!
With brake off and engine stopped, put the car in 1st gear. Open the hood,
and get the car rocking back and forth by pushing on the bumper, radiator
support, or whatever is rugged enough that you won't harm it. If the front
mount is NG, you'll see the whole motor moving around when the car bounces
back and forth.
Alternately, you could have someone watch the engine compartment from the
side as you let the clutch out and begin to drive away with the hood open
(don't go too far! :-)) ) to see if the engine moves around.
Don't forget to support the engine if you do pull the front mount.
