[Vwdiesel] Problem with top speed

  Check brakes for a dragging brake.  Had that problem with Dad's pickup
for a while.  With poor running like you have and now power, it sounds a
lot like a leak in your supply line.  Check for bubbles in the clear line
between the pump and filter housing.  Probable leaks are behind the
fuel filter and the lines between the tank and hard lines.  Those aren't
cheap on a pickup and are sometimes hard to find.
