Fw: [Vwdiesel] Jetta E Code/DRL Debates

I understand justification for DRLs came from stat research done in Sweden.
As Volvo adds used to state, 9/10ths of the country is above the Arctic
circle. I can image (at least in the winter time) that vehicles being
driven in the daytime prob'ly had fewer accidents when headlights were being
used...

I have 7" H4 hi/low (55W/110W), 5" H1 driving lights (110W) and 4x6" H3
foglights (55W). The 7" lights also have 5W "city light" bulbs. All wired
up with 12ga wire running thru 4 separate relays.

I'm also one of those who have disconnected the DRL (only parking lights
illuminate fulltime). I like being able to leave (for example) the parking
yacht at my boat club without turning the entire mooring basin into daylight
at midnight. Only time I use daytime headlights is on the highway,
especially 2-lane roads -- it's much easier to see oncoming / overtaking
traffic with headlights on.

Just my $0.02Cdn...
