[Vwdiesel] Off topic idiocy

Hi, gang,
    The last time we wandered off on a lengthy off topic string, several
listees objected to wasted bandwidth.  I offered to set up a separate list
for off topic subjects with membership hopefully limited to members of this
and the audifans Diesel list.  There was some sentiment in favor of it, but
we got back to discussing our cars and forgot about it.
    This time, before we lose anyone again, I went ahead and set one up, I
think.  Hopefully it will expand beyond political rants into other subjects
and the areas of interest which I know other listees have.
    I don't intend to moderate it (or participate much), but bear in mind
that it's a Yahoo group and probably monitored, so kindly don't be pimping,
offering to sell anything illegal, or advocating anything that would cause
the Secret Service or any other form of cops to show up at my door.
     Bear in mind that membership is strictly voluntary, so don't whine if
your toes get stepped on.  On the other hand, while in normal conversation I
could probably make certain retired sailors blush, if all you can come up
with as a response to a challenged idea rhymes with duck too, don't bother.
    To join the list from the www.yahoogroups.com home page, follow the
categories of Recreation & Sports> automotive> imports.  The list name is
EuroDieselCars and if anyone else figures out how to join, kindly share that
information.  The email address is EuroDieselCars at yahoogroups.com , although
I'm not sure how to get mail through to it yet.
