Was out driving the !984 turbo Rabbit yesterday. In the SUN  WOW. Thus the =
delay in answering.  The dose was 1.4 litre AD - 100 to 20 litre crappy fue=
l from down the street.
How do you get ESSO AD-100 ???  ---you don't ---I may have the worlds suppl=
y here.Thats the bad news.  ---The good news is that any good lube oil will=
 probably work.
I do not know why it worked so astounding.(still investigating)  ---one thi=
ng I know is that it works on the two Rabbits here --Plus a 1.5L NA  of unk=
nown origin and age , running on a piece of plywood in the yard.

To pass the much feared Vancouver B.C.  "aircare test" (revenue collection =
scheme) with an old tired VW diesel and BOSCH pump ,Hagar would pull out al=
l the stops.

          1.   Spy on a station to see how it is done.
           2.  Use lots (triple dose) of Cetane improve  --see Fuel 101 arc=
hives.
           3.  Turn the fuelling screw down --careful small moves.
           4.  Turn the max power screw back a tad.
           5.  Turn the idle screw up a tad.
           6.  Increase timing advance a tad --use needle scrape so you can=
 find timing when
                finished.
           7.  Remove air filter ---to give her lots of air.
           8.  Make sure brakes are not dragging. ---spin wheels by hand.
           9.  Move throttle shaft fulcrum point away from shaft --as much =
as you can and still
                drive to slow down angular movement - fast pedal to metal t=
est.
          10. On 1.6L Turbo with Bosch pumps pull small line off intake man=
ifold --                 the on that goes to pump diagfragm,and leave it of=
f for the test.
