  That reminds me of Dad's 5.7 GM pickup.  Whenever you ran it *almost*
out of fuel on one tank before switching tanks, it'd take off like you nearly
doubled the power.  Actually you did run it until it got a gulp of air.  If
you
didn't switch it over fairly soon it got close to not restarting!  You just
hold
throttle and it'd jump from 50 to 70 in about 5 seconds.  About then it'd
grab fuel from the other tank and slow down.  I'd like to have changed it
to those conditions permanently!  :)
