I had a nice post pounder like that, it was 3" seamless pipe with about a
2" thick solid plug welded *and* pinned in the end. We made a blackpowder cannon
out of it one day, and two buddies of mine (one was the local parole
officer) brought it down to the beach on Lake Superior when we had a big picnic
and were shooting beach rocks out into the lake with it. It was amazing how far
they'd go. Finally split the pipe tho with too heavy a load.
Anyway, the spudguns made out of PVC are much safer. Guys use acetylene, or
just hairspray, etc. Shoot potatos. Or spudrockets.
