  Geez, I didn't catch that this was a TDI.  The thought crossed my mind
but didn't notice.  :(   Real bummer if it's the dreaded crash.  :(
  I've never noticed Dad's do anything the least bit odd.  I don't think you
even have to blip the throttle to get the alt light to go out.  The check
engine light is a perpetual nuisance though.  :P
