Hey guys,
when I went junkyard hunting for solenoid valves, I found a mix of 3 port and 6
ports. They were on mid to late 80's ford vans. One scrapyard owner wanted $35
for a 6 port that I removed, regardless if it worked or not! I told him where
to go.

If you can, by the motor driven valves. I've heard they are more durable.
Also, about the small mixing that occurs during switching fuels: Some people
loop their return fuel line back into the feed line, eliminating vege oil in
the diesel tank. It might not be important in Florida, but it is an issue here
in Vermont. I was using 2 3-ports for my system. This allowed me to either
return fuel to the diesel tank, loop it into the feed side, or backflush my
vege oil line and filter. This method works great.
