The 82 carrier bars won't work with the 84 waterboxer tranny stuff. The
83+ bars will. The 83+ has a flat plate toward the center of each
carrier bar where the rubber mount goes. The 82 type has a sheet metal
cage in this spot. The 82 type mount the engine 1 1/2" closer to the
front of the vehicle. The waterboxer tranny position needs the later
bars.

The rabbit diesel starter won't work with the Vanagon diesel
bellhousing. You must have a Vanagon diesel starter.
