[Vwdiesel] Additional Camber Adjustment Needed?

I was just looking at e-Bay again and found this (not
mine):
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33581&item=2413556155
These strut-knuckle bolts replace the ones from the
factory and are slightly smaller in diameter (and
oddly, they have an 18 MM head (and I think an 18 MM
nut is supposed to be supplied, although the htread
size is the same as the stack one), not 19 MM!. The
added "slop" from a smaller bolt shank in the hole
allows more "adjustment" of camber. Although I do not
know about "improved handling" from negative camber,
as the seller claims. Seems to me, this would cause
uneven tire wear.
Years ago I bought four of these new from the dealer
and installed one on each side (upper bolt of the
strut-steering knuckle), although I don't believe I
need the extra "play" to bring my camber into
adjustment. The other two are in my bolt bin.
Interesting item, though.
