[Vwdiesel] Importing a TDI ?

Greetings all,

I'm still searching off and on for a 2001-2002 TDI...As I was trolling through
Ebay tonight, I noticed two items for sale from England: a Passat TDI 110, and
a Golf GT/TDI - 130HP, six speed !! Lucky them ......My next immediate thought
was this: Could a diesel be imported ? Since the diesel is exempt ( at least
here in Georgia ) from emissions inspections, would that mean easier
certification by customs ? Someone educate me.....Six
speeds.....130hp.....OoooooEEeeeee......
