[Vwdiesel] Oil recommendations?

[TexasTDI]

I recommend the AGT 80w-90 GL-4 lube in older VW applications that call for
a GL-4 lube because it works well and is less expensive than the "one size
fit's all" GL-2 through GL-5 lubes.

In newer applications, like my TDI, I recommend the AGR GL-2 through GL-5
75w-90 lube and the TGR Series 2000 75w-90 lube.

Redline MT-90 is a GL-4 75w-90 lube.  I don't have any personal experience
with it, but several people on www.tdiclub.com use it in their cars and
swear by it.

Redline MTL is a GL3 and GL-4 70w-80 lube.  Kinda thin for a gear lube IMO.
I would only recommend it in climates with very cold winters and moderately
mild summers.
