Auto Spies and others report VW will bring a V10 TDI to the USA in
2003......the Touareg.

Regarding the Touareg....:
"Is the diesel version coming to the states?"
"Happily, the V10 TDI diesel is coming to the US and should be available by
late December 2003 or early January 2004."
If they are accurate, we will have a 3d choice, beyond the Jetta and the
Passat. Not sure I believe them. But if it happens, VW could be leading
America out of it's disenchantment with the diesel. How could anyone not
like such an incredible power plant?
