[Vwdiesel] update: POWER STEERING PUMP 88 Jetta 1.6L TD

Hi Diesel Dudes !

Well, today I ripped apart my PS pump.  I had no idea there was so much
stuff crammed in there-LOL!
I couldn't find a replacement front oil seal for it, but I was able to get a
replacement bearing for $5.25CDN at a local bearing shop.
Original was all beat to pieces and barely even resembled a real bearing
anymore.
One place quoted me $240 for a rebuilt pump (+15% tax) (a savings of $270.76
!)
With some help from a car enthusiast at work I had it back together in a
jiffy.  Took me more than an hour to reinstall it on the car as one bolt is
quite hidden and hard to see and get to.
Anyway, upon firing it up and a short 5 minute test drive there's no
apparent leaks and it seems to be working well.  Last time it leaked it was
only when it was driven for an hour or so though, so it may still leak
yet.......keeping my fingers crossed!
