I knew it was going to be a tough road finding a TD, but not paying
with my life!
Did I tell the list about buying my 97 passat TDI (200k miles)? It
was posted online for a few hours with a price of $2500 in Deleware.
I called the guy that afternoon and offered $3000 if he would hold it
for me. He agreed and I was on my way from VT. I arrived the next
afternoon. The guy said he had tons of calls. People were outbidding
me, but because i was on my way he kept our agreement. 1300 miles and
2 days after I saw the ad, I was the lucky winner of the TDI!
Not easy, but damn worth it!
