I replaced my slave cylinder on my vanagon recently. Not hard to replace at
all. They sell a rebuild for $20 and new for around $60 last I checked. When I
asked my VW mechanic about it, he just happened to have removed a tranny from a
gas vanagon. He gave me that slave cylinder for $20, and it works fine.
