YOU can buy the clutch slave for $50 and the starter for $150. Figure
1/2 hour to replace the starter and 1 1/2 for the slave cyl and
bleeding. The shop needs to mark up the parts 50% so $200 becomes $300
for parts. A very generous 2 hours labor times their shop rate whatever
that is. $65? x 2= $130. Add $5 for brake fluid.
Ok, adds up to $450 and they are making out fine.
Or do it yourself for $200 and 3 hours of your time.
You should learn to do this stuff yourself, it isn't that hard.
