[Vwdiesel] Need Some Clarification !

Larger fuel pump? Why is this? My Dad's noticed his '02 auto gets worse
mileage (about 45-48mpg imp)  than his '01 5sp (50-55mpg imp) (both
Jettas), but I'd have thought this wouldn't matter to the fuel pump...
