 I'm not sure since it's been a while since I have done rear brakes, but
working for a place that makes seals, I can say that if the sealing surface
is still riding where it is supposed to be on the spindle and the flange
protruding from the back of the drum isn't interfering with anything, it
should be just fine. There are several different designs for seals that are
interchangeable. Make sure the ID of the seal is the correct size, too.
 You can check to see where the sealing surface is riding by smearing a film
of grease on the spindle where the seal contacts it, then slide the drum on
and bottom it out to where it will be, turn the drum a revolution or two,
and pull it back off. There should be a line where the dust lip was turning.
