Hi folks,
Just got back from the Emergency Room.

Today I was sitting in a wrecked 190D Sitting in the front seat, at a
local pull-it-yerself yard. Getting trim off of the dash.

Finish with the task at hand, spun around on the seat to get my feet out
the door, and SPROING!!! Something projectiled itself out of the seat
cushion and into... my behind.

Thought to myself... "oh great, ripped my shorts" Went to stand up... no
go. I was firmly stuck to the seat. Not stuck by the pants, not by
skin... by the meat! What ever it was it was deep. It took me 20min to
find the right angle to get myself unstuck. I was starting to get
concerned. Trust me, that takes a lot!

My tool bag was on the hood. All I had with me in the cockpit was a
screwdriver. Couldn't yell. Nobody around. I was clear on the far side
of the compound. Good thing I had my cell with me, even though I managed
without it.

A little blood, not much. Not a whole lotta pain. Finished collecting my
parts and went home. Cleaned myself up and discovered I could stick my
pinky finger into the hole. Hmmm, not good. I knew I would at least need
a tetanus shot, perhaps a stitch or two. Called my Doc, can't see me
until Monday. Wife demands under no circumstances to go to the ER. ER
Doc says that I was "lucky" I got punctured where I did. Half inch in
any direction would have been serious(Punctured artery, Colon, etc) Not
good.

Moral of the story, Be careful of junk vehicle, especially how you go
about getting parts out; be cautious, even though they look to be in
very good condition.
