plugs and relay (fast) that the NA VW diesels use.
They operate on the same cycle too. I've seen that
Bentley note on TDs using slow glow systems to reduce
smoking, and I'm perplexed by it. My '85 TD came w/
the fast system from the factory. I'm dead sure on
that! In fact a few years back I replaced all the glow
plugs and the replacements were the brass post fast
plugs.
