Just did a 1984 1.6L turbo  -- no problems at all. I would NEVER remove spe=
edo cable for filling...It looked like it was our resident oil expert from =
the great state of Texas who asked    must be a vastly different type car. =
    An old wheelbolt with a hexnut welded on and it is no problem to get le=
vel plug out.   Then fill using a piece of aquarium tubing and a funnel. Ch=
anging was no problem --- getting the right oil was.       Hagar.
