[Vwdiesel] Antifreeze --- ( frost and damaged blocks )

This morning  Sunday  09 Nov 2003  I woke up in a stark panic ------we had =
frost for more than a week, and I never put antifreeze in the engine sittin=
g running on a piece of 3/4 plywood in front of the "cardboard box" (house)=
    I ran down there with intention of using tiger torch and then draining =
--and back to bed .   The lord was with me on this one (luck?)  and it neve=
r froze. All other water in buckets were solid --- no sign of ice in the 20=
L oil bucket used in lieu of radiator. And the water-pump turned by hand.So=
 if I save someone's bacon by this reminder ---my time writing was well spe=
nt.              Hagar.
PS:  Does anybody know what is a good solvent for the glue sticks sold at W=
al mart ???  "Adhesive Tech"     I use a lot on the bunny's----Handy stuff =
for fastening all sorts of things.Even works for insulating terminal on sol=
enoid  --watch out it is not diesel proof.  The yellow Hubbell plug for hea=
ter has been glued to front fender for years works great. I tell people tha=
t it is an electric car and that's for charging.
