I also use a 150psi vdo gauge (electric-dual sender)
in
my 1.9NA hybrid with 1.6 hydralic head. Running
15-40W Kendall SuperD oil would produce 140psi on cold
start and the motor ran about 55-70psi when on the
road. 5 bar I feel is to low for 1.6TD motor, that is
only 73.5 psi.
But then again, what do I know. My motor blew 2
valves off the springs and through one of the lifters
a month ago after only 15K miles. Timing did not
move, motor was still running on 3 cyl. Taking it out
this Sunday to break it down over the winter and find
out what the hell happened in there.
So, we will see. Seems this motor ran with too much
oil pressure from the beginning?
