    Should you lose your leg and have to convert to an auto, you'll still be
screwed, as Quantum auto transmissions lead to  walking.
    Auto box lube (ATF) is the original magic potion for cleaning injectors.
When I first began driving VWD's, my father in law told me about it, having
learned the trick in the Army in the mid-50's.
    There seems to be some question as to its efficacy in modern engines,
with modern formulations of ATF.  Additionally, the use of ATF predates
specific injector cleaner formulations.
    When I first got into VWD's, filling new fuel filters with ATF was
standard practice, but we seem to have better stuff available now.
