What I'm especially curious about is the switch unit on the signal light 
indicator arm. Has anyone had issues with theirs?


  SImple replacement but haven't seen or heard of any problems with them.  
Have you done a vacuum check on the system?  I had intermittent problems 
and all was well except for the seals in the brake and clutch release 
switches.  The o-rings weren't sealing the vacuum well so sometimes it'd 
work, sometimes not and other times just work for a bit.  The catch is the 
right lube for them (if you disassemble and put in new o-rings).  I think 
Vaseline worked ok but nothing else I tried did.  There is a vacuum lube 
out there I'd seen about that time ( I think they had some where I worked 
then),  Didn't have time to chase any down though.  My hoses have pretty 
well all gone to pot since though.
