I wasnt talking about being thicker when I referred to "hang time."  I didn't 

ramble on to 'splain.  I'm talking about residual oil left on the cylinder 
walls, etc rather than it being really efficient in running all into the pan 
after you shut off the engine and it sits for a day or week or two.  I don't 
know for a fact but seems the claims have been that synth does a better 
job of being there a couple days later so less metal to metal startup.  
  There's nothing to keep oil suspended in the turbo bearings any more 
than the mains, etc. Less actually as the surface area is narrower due 
to the bearings being fully groved with holes drilled in the groves.
