I wouldn't know the "burn quality" of dino and synth motor oils because oil
isn't supposed to be burned in the combustion chamber.

I use synthetic in my "old" Rabbits also. Both of them are '81 models.
One uses some oil b/t 5K oil changes but I don't mind a couple of bucks
and it runs just great. I'm also going to put syn in the gearboxes
before winter this year. Synthetic is some slippery stuff! I think it
is better in the diesels that aren't on their last leg. Hagar is
talking about the "burn quality" in a diesel using oil. You never
answered that question Chris.
