[Vwdiesel] Oil pressure problem

Before you jump off the deep end, I would check the pressure at the head
with a mechanical gauge. You could simply have a bad sender. With as
much oil in the head area as you say, this would be my first guess.
The pressure felt at the filter and the head should be almost identical.
You can't have 70psi at the filter and zero at the head without some
serious restriction in the head oil circuit.
You mentioned the gasket was installed correctly. "OBEN" visible looking
down on the gasket tab?
