[Vwdiesel] Oil pressure problem

I have hooked up a mechanical pressure gage to the head. That is how I know
it is getting 20psi cold start till it warms up then I get zero. I have not
tried running the engine with the sensor out of the head to see how much oil
flows out. That is my next thing to check.

Yep the "OBEN" is visible looking down and on the left side just behind the
#2 injector.

It just isn't making sense. I have a ton of oil just no pressure at
operating temp.

The only thing I can think of to solve my oil light/buzzer problem is to
"T"in the low pressure sensor down at the high pressure sensor. Seems like
this would work. I would just loose any oil readings I wanted to get off my
mechanical gage unless I work it in to that "T" and then it would be a real
mess in that area with all those connections.

Before you jump off the deep end, I would check the pressure at the head
with a mechanical gauge. You could simply have a bad sender. With as
much oil in the head area as you say, this would be my first guess.

The pressure felt at the filter and the head should be almost identical.
You can't have 70psi at the filter and zero at the head without some
serious restriction in the head oil circuit.

You mentioned the gasket was installed correctly. "OBEN" visible looking
down on the gasket tab?
