Loren as you know a lot of my fun is experimenting ---- and only a good
test will really tell.
Aircraft use water for cooling -----so maybe it would work on a diesel.
Trouble here is that Jake is a POWER freak ---and there must be lots of
combustion in there.
Over fueling does work ---but I feel the governor can be adjusted for a lot more
RPM than Bentley calls for. Evaporation is fantastic for cooling --and used a lot in Eropa.
One of my compressors has evaporation cooling.(home made).
I found lots of good reading on Jakes site ----
About the propane being used in liquid form ? it would cool intake air. Get you sliderule
out and see how much propane would be optimum. And it smokes less than diesel.
All my propane tanks freeze op real fast at high flowrates. So does my CO2 tanks.
Hagar.
PS: The Germans had an airplane cooled by evaporation ---a speed record breaker.
