'84 Rabbit L, light blue 4-door.
52hp 1.6l non-turbo diesel engine and 4-speed transmission.
Tires, suspension and brakes are good. Will need rear shoes soon.
Headliner is falling down and the rear seat is missing.
Driver's side door handle is broken and has been removed (common problem)
Exhaust needs one rubber hanger.
Original working AM/FM stereo - -the kind with the two large knobs
Reverse light switch is flaky -- play in shifter bushings allows it to not
always work unless you wiggle the shifter.
Good 13" tires on steel wheels
No leaks.
Minimal smoke.
Starts when cold!
Coolant temps are very stable at 1/2.
I have no estimate of mileage (MPG or otherwise) because the odo is broken.
The usual for these cars is about 45+ MPG.

The body is in rough shape (dents and rust on replaceable panels on driver's
side) but basically solid. Runs happily on biodiesel blends that can be
purchased locally, though I have NOT messed around with SVO or anything. I
am willing to deliver the car just about anywhere in the northeast for the
offset of my costs before 12/15.
