Done whining again so sorry for that. Keep in mind my last name is Wineland
so it comes out once in a while

It's even, just low

She cranks (&cranks) good and fast now. Plug it in as in block heater? It
doesn't have one. I have a magnetic oil pan heater and it did come with a
external water heater that is not installed. Not sure if I want to use it
or exactly where to plumb it in if I do want it. I think I can still get at
the freeze plugs if I need to add a heater. As bad as my oil burner
hydraulic engine was that this replaced it started every time no problem
with only the magnetic oil pan heater attached over night. It does sleep
inside though which I know is a huge help.

When I first checked it it was at .85mm I set it now to 1.00 mm. With the
cold start out it goes to about 1.12 mm. When and if it starts with the
cold start lever out it has lots of loud marble noise even after it warms up.

The pump does not seem to leak but is making a growling sound. The fuel
filter (new 3 hose style) leaks around the fitting that is held in with the
hairpin. Can't get it to stop. Not sure if I am getting some air in the
line there. I see bubbles in the used to be clear fuel line when it starts
and I don't think that is right?

Checked the glowplugs before I installed it while I had the injectors out
to check the compression. They all got nice and red. I looked at them
later and noticed they were silver so wondered if maybe they were slow
plugs. I pulled one last night and they are Autolites?? I called AutoZone
and they have fast Bosch in stock at $11 ea. so I will spring for a set on
the way home tonight. I would like to wire them individually while I am at
it. Really would like to get metric wing nuts for them also. I seem to lose
at least 2 nuts every time I do this job. They never seem to fall out either.
Drove her to work this morning. Idle between stop lights rough but runs
nice down the road. Very little smoke. Some black smoke when I loaded it
down coming up the big Hill on my route. I stopped at Wal-Mart to grab a
couple things and after sitting 15 minutes it did not want to start. Really
hoping she gets me home tonight.

Thanks to all,

Bart
