[Vwdiesel] Glow plug wiring ----( use # 10 wire )

To do a good job on wiring glow plugs --use Belden  # 10, motorlead. wire.

Resistance is about 1 ohm per 1000 feet.    so to calculate drop ?

NO problemo.   Not much drop here on 40 Amps.   ---but there is drop
enughf for a digital meter.    And  it will do for measuring amps drawn.

How to make a shunt :    Set up a full scale reading --then shunt to  0.5 
reading and so on---- got it ?   I have 1000 amp shunts here in my hand
and it is a piece of Apple Pie to make one.
Standard shunts are say   65 Mv or so   they are marked .   So when you see
1000 Amp    0.65 Volts    that means when voltage is 0.65 Volts is shown on voltmeter
the current is 1000 Amps.    No there are no worldwide standards. for shunts.

If you bring wires in to meter on dash  --.--- use GOOD insulation and grommets.
and be careful -----it is power.
