You should be able to trace the power supply from no 4 GP
back towards the fuse by the coolant bottle. If the 6mm wire
goes back through there then you know its not being
by-passed hence the break may be the source if not merely
contributing. Turn ignition on and then proffera jumplead
across this fuse to see if sparks fly. If they dont then the
problem is further up the line (maybe towards this extra
fuse you talk about or maybe back to the relay). If your
indicator lights when it shouldnt then its teling mewhat my
LED invention would ie that a  glowplug or more is FINE.
Your indicator is being powered by a live in the instrument
area rather than it going to an earth.
