Loren  My statement was misleading. The .010 I mentioned was not piston
clearance, I was  talking about end gap on the rings, a big difference.If
you find total seals hone size it would be nice to know. Sorry for the
confussion. Jim


  Yeah, there IS a slight difference in clearance and end gap!  :)
  You want a RA of 25 to 30 and a 20 to 25 for a gas engine.  That would be 
even more coarse in this day of ultra fine honing grit.  <shrug>  The Sunnen 
stones are JHO 520 or 525 which is pretty much  a 220 to 280 grit, or 180 
to 220 in a "dingle ball" hone.
