[Vwdiesel] cleaning pump

Jim when using diesel purge I follow the instructions on the can.I have
several o rings, seals and the front seal from a pump that I took apart,I
did not let the pump draw all the purge from the glass jar that I use so
that I didn't get air in my system,I put the seals in the purge overnight
and did not notice any adverse effects on the seals.I have been shutting off
the engine for about a half hour with the purge in the fuel system, hoping
this does a better cleaning, then starting it again to run the rest of the
purge thru.I think that it would be good to ask bosch about this, but I know
it works.  Jim
