Great find there Ford guy!  That is truely a strange
combination of event to happen, but now you know.

Yes, the amount of computers in my new 04 Jetta TDI
wagon is frieghtening.  There is a sticker in the
trunk of all the computer codes specific to my car,
that are needed for diags and resets if battery is
disconnected for any length of time.  But for a guy
who likes guages, the Jetta has none.  So I will have
to install the basic 3, volts, oil pressure and oil
temp.  That will be hard enough I bet.

Compared to my 83 westy 1.6 IDI with a whopping 3
wires, (temp guage, stop silenoid, and glow plugs) it
is a BIG change.
