 Pure compressed O2 is a very powerful oxidizer. If there is any hydrocarbon
present in a line or fitting when the O2 is turned on, the combination of
the high pressure, oxidizer, and fuel source will cause it to spontaneously
ignite. In a closed system like a pipeline or hose, you can imagine the
ramifications of that.....
