  It took me forever to find but it was the input bushing on the pump. It 
made the belt walk off.  I jumped pump time once and cam about 
3 before I finally found the cause.  2 of the 3 cam jumps bent some 
valves.  :(  I checked the pump for play but was expecting a bearing 
so I only grabbed and tried to wiggle it.  It was tight as could be.  Only 
wobbles in one direction.
  Other causes would be pump mounting bracket bolts being broken off 
or loose.  This usually makes a surging at easy throttle, 30mph cruising 
though.
