answer: Yes indeed ------ depending on where the idle is set. Pedal only
controls governor --- As a matter of fact it is a real skill to be able to set
the idle where engine does not shake -- and engine does not run away as
RPM is increased. Try it by increasing the idle. Be ready on the key. Or just
slow her down with a bit of load.
The physics behind the drag from the engine is much like that of an air
compressor. Heat is dissipated by coolant. Hagar.
