[Vwdiesel] Injection pump failure

I've been involved with the vwdieselparts.com forum and a little bit on =
    the vwvortex (until I get pissed off by some of the morons over there), =
    but this is my first time with this list.=20
    I have an '81 VW Rabbit diesel, and it looks like the pump shaft bushings have gone out (there's some endplay in the shaft, allowing the sprocket to angle so that the timing belt starts to walk off its edge). I need a cheap solution, since I have no money to spend on a $500 rebuilt pump. Does anyone around the Seattle area have a good pump they want to sell? Also, can someone confirm if a 1.5 pump of an '80 Rabbit will work on my '81 1.6?
