Looking at the flow today was an eye opener ---lots of fuel goes by. BOSCH
states that it is for cooling of pump.


  So how warm did your jar of fuel get?  I have a Compucruise to put on 
the Rabbit but have been concerned about a reservoir to keep the fuel 
from getting too hot.  Need a closed loop in order to meter the incoming 
fuel as there's no outgoing measurement provision and a metering 
orifice would mess with pump pressures.
