  Of course you'll get a bit better mileage with a single run test than a 
tankful.  I averaged about 26+ with the 914 but could make about 36 
on a trip.  I had the Compucruise on it so I could check the mileage 
at any point for current or trip.  I filled up one day and drove about 13 
miles.  When I came to the first stop light I don't remember exactly 
what it read but I know it was over 40mpg.  I believe it was 43.  It 
was going up the further I went until I hit a light and started stopping 
and starting.  It was down to about 38 by the third light (about 4 blocks)
  I could cruise along in the 50's and 60's on level at 55mph.
