[Vwdiesel] compression test results on stinky ('89 1.6 na)

Tried out my new $50 e-bay compression tester today.  I was pleasantly 
surprised when I opened it to find out it was American made. I am pleased 
with it for the money, but was not happy with the numbers it showed.  Left 
to right I got 375, 385, 370, and 350 psi. If I have been paying attention 
I believe under 400 is getting pretty low?  It is looking like I will need 
to re-ring with only 25k miles on the last job. Next break in will be 
different (Loren can I borrow your horse trailer to pull?).
It is still running well and will be a while till I can get at it
I guess I could try some mechanic in a can stuff while I am waiting. Has 
anyone ever had any luck with any of the "Restore" type miracle oil 
additives? Maybe some Bon-Ami?
