Yes I joke a lot - and laugh a lot --like Loren when he dropped the railroad track
on his foot.

So I am sorry for not telling the newbies exactly what I was talking about when
I babbled on and on and on about the importance if using a thread lube on ALL bolts
and screws.

The curse of old Rabbit owners is stripped threads broken bolts and studs. Rust and
corrosion to put it in simple turns.

Do not touch those small bolts on cylinder-head if they are tight. Same on the waterpumps.
If you do not HAVE to.

On the net look up Never Seez.   and you know what brand I use .  It is a Bostik Findley
product.  Marine grade is good --  if you got salt on the roads in winter. 

It conforms to API definition of Pipe Dope.   It is a high temperature dope so it works
like crazy on all the pipe and muffler clamps.

Anecdotal  -- many years ago a worker at Celtic Ship yards point to a guy
saying that he was the person who invented Never Seez.  bullshit ?  maybe.
If right I do not think he is driving a Rabbit.
